His work sits at the intersection of industrial policy, geopolitics, and national security, where resilient access to battery materials has become a strategic priority for both commercial and defense ecosystems.

Prior to Lithium Americas, Jonathan served as Vice President and General Manager of the Lithium Division at FMC Corporation, where he led global lithium operations during a period of rapid market expansion. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of DiversiTech, a private equity-backed industrial platform, and held senior leadership roles at General Electric, Arysta LifeScience, and AMRI Corporation, gaining deep experience in scaling operations, global supply chains, and complex manufacturing environments.

Jonathan began his career as an Armor/Cavalry officer in the U.S. Army, bringing a foundation of leadership and mission-oriented execution that continues to inform his approach to building organizations and delivering large-scale strategic outcomes. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University and an M.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

At Decorus Imperium, Jonathan provides critical insight into the upstream and industrial backbone of national security—particularly the sourcing, development, and scaling of strategic materials required for next-generation defense systems. His expertise in executing multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects, navigating regulatory and geopolitical complexity, and aligning capital with long-duration strategic assets offers a unique perspective for evaluating investments across the defense and energy nexus.

Jonathan’s experience enables the firm to better identify and support companies operating in contested supply chains, ensuring portfolio alignment with the emerging priorities of U.S. and allied defense industrial strategy.
